Q-STAR and NEDO to Support the Quantum Computing EXPO
Q-STAR and NEDO have been confirmed as official supporters for the upcoming Quantum Computing EXPO.
RX Japan Ltd. (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President & CEO: Takeshi Tanaka) is pleased to announce that the Quantum Strategic Industry Alliance for Revolution (Q-STAR) (Secretariat: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Taro Shimada) and the New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO) (Headquarters: Kawasaki, Kanagawa; Chairman: Hiroshi Saito) will serve as official supporting organizations for the 6th Quantum Computing EXPO [Spring], to be held at Tokyo Big Sight in April 2026.
This exhibition is Japan's only* trade show dedicated to quantum computing, held as part of NexTech Week 2026 [Spring]. It offers a comprehensive look at the current state of quantum technology, ranging from cutting-edge research and applications to implementation support and talent development. Held concurrently with other NexTech Week events (covering AI, blockchain, humanoid robots, and human resources/organizational reform in the AI era), it provides a unique opportunity to compare related technologies and foster concrete business partnerships.
Quantum computing is steadily advancing from basic research to demonstration and social implementation. Use cases directly linked to business value are emerging, including new material and drug discovery, combinatorial optimization (logistics, staffing, etc.), cryptography, security, and quantum AI. As the surrounding ecosystem—including cloud services, implementation support, and talent development—expands, companies have more options to experiment and scale their utilization. However, the growth of the industry depends on expanding the talent pool, increasing literacy, and promoting international cooperation and standardization, making collaboration across industry, academia, and government essential.
By welcoming the support of Q-STAR, which leads the creation of collaborative foundations and standardization, and NEDO, which supports R&D and social implementation, this exhibition will further enhance its value as a hub for attendees, exhibitors, and research institutions to accelerate the industrialization of quantum technology.
*Based on a survey of third-party databases (JETRO J-messe) and official venue records as of February 5, 2026, confirming no other equivalent trade shows dedicated to quantum computing.

■ Quantum Strategic Industry Alliance for Revolution (Q-STAR)
Representative Director: Mr. Taro Shimada
We warmly welcome the holding of the Quantum Computing EXPO. Q-STAR has been working to integrate industry-academia-government and startup collaboration, talent development, standardization, and international cooperation to realize the social implementation of quantum technology. This exhibition is the perfect venue for diverse players to define use cases and paths to implementation. Through collaboration with all attendees and exhibitors, we will accelerate demonstration, standardization, and the expansion of the talent base to contribute to a society where quantum technology can be utilized seamlessly.
■ RX Japan Ltd.
Quantum Computing EXPO Show Director: Atom Shimoda
I am confident that by combining the industry-academia-government expertise of Q-STAR and NEDO with the 'real-world dialogue' provided by this exhibition, we will create opportunities for practitioners to engage in essential discussions and deepen their learning. Many companies are still in the process of determining how to apply quantum technology to their business challenges. We aim for this exhibition to serve as a catalyst for discovering possibilities and meeting new partners. Together with our supporting organizations, we will accelerate the social implementation and industrialization of quantum technology through solid demonstrations and the expansion of the talent pool.
The comment included in this release is provided by Q-STAR. While NEDO has not provided an individual comment, this exhibition is held with the support of both organizations.
