On April 14, 2026 (Tuesday), FamilyMart will release the "Melting Texture Squeezed Strawberry" ice bar nationwide at approximately 16,400 stores. The product is priced at 210 yen (226 yen including tax). This is the first strawberry product in the "From the Farm, To the Convenience Store" series, which aims to support sustainable fruit production. The series, now in its fourth year, features the "Tochiaika" strawberry from Tochigi Prefecture. "Tochiaika" is a next-generation variety characterized by high sweetness, strong heat resistance, and large, firm fruit that is less prone to damage, which improves harvesting and packing efficiency for farmers. The product packaging highlights the "Tochiaika" variety name to promote its recognition and support sustainable agriculture. The ice bar contains 27% "Tochiaika" strawberry juice, structured in two layers: a rich strawberry juice layer and a melting gelato layer.
