The Fairfield by Marriott Michi-no-Eki project (Headquarters: Oyodo-naka, Kita-ku, Osaka; COO: Shigeru Oshima) will host a collaborative wine tasting event with "Sera Winery" from Sera-cho, Hiroshima Prefecture, on Saturday, July 11, 2026, in the lobby of Fairfield by Marriott Hiroshima Sera. Guests staying at the hotel that day can enjoy 100% Japanese wine made from grapes grown in Sera-cho, accompanied by commentary from the winery's director, who is a certified sommelier.
The Fairfield by Marriott Michi-no-Eki project operates 29 lodging-focused hotels nationwide, promoting a travel style that uses hotels as a base to discover the unknown charms of each region.
Sera-cho, Hiroshima Prefecture, is blessed with a climate suitable for fruit cultivation, and "Sera Winery" is committed to "Japanese wine" made exclusively from grapes supplied by contracted farmers, without relying on imported fruit juice concentrates. For this event, we will welcome Mr. Yasuharu Hata, the winery's director and a certified sommelier, to explain the characteristics and background story of each wine.
Wines to be served: - "Sera Wine Chardonnay Sparkling": A traditional sparkling wine made from 100% Chardonnay grown in Sera-cho. - "Hyakka Semillon 2021": A white wine with a refreshing aroma.
We will also provide rich grape juice for children and non-drinkers.
