A 6-room glamping village located in the Satoyama (rural landscape) of Futtsu, Chiba🏕️

Featuring a 200-year-old traditional Japanese house and 16 rescued cats🐱. Please enjoy a healing time with nature and animals.

How to Spend Your Day

Carry a woven basket on your back to climb the slopes, or explore the forest. You can enjoy an old-fashioned "original experience" playing with your whole body.

How to Spend Your Night

Chatting slowly while watching the flames of a campfire. Beside you, a cat has naturally curled up and fallen asleep. Such a day in the Satoyama is a common sight at Washinmura.

About the Facility

Scattered across the premises are a traditional house built about 200 years ago, a Nagayamon gate, tents, and snow peak Jyubako (mobile houses). We live together with the following animals:

- 15 rescued cats + 1 cat (living in the staff dormitory🏠✨) - Goats - Dogs - A family of Silkie chickens

Regarding Animal Treats

Under the guidance of veterinarians, to manage the cats' health, we ask that you refrain from bringing in commercially available treats.

If you wish to give them treats, please purchase the carefully selected treats (additive-free, domestically sourced ingredients, etc.) sold at the Washinmura shop. *Available in limited quantities.

Other Notices

- The cats roam freely on the premises. Please be careful if you have allergies. - Animals are whimsical, so we don't know which room they will visit. They won't necessarily visit every room. - The cats and dogs at Washinmura have been spayed/neutered and receive vaccines and tick prevention medication.
