■ Event Background

This event is a wine event planned by a family consisting of a Japanese husband and a Moldovan wife.

My encounter with my Moldovan wife was during a graduation trip from medical school.

Initially, I traveled with my classmates to France, Italy, and Spain, but I didn't book a return ticket and started traveling alone.

I spent some time in Italy with an Italian friend, but realizing "this isn't solo travel," I set Ukraine as my goal, deciding to stop in Romania beforehand.

After finishing my trip in Romania, while queuing for check-in for a flight from Romania to Ukraine, a Romanian man (an old guy) in front of me asked,

"Where are you from? Oh, Japan. And you're going to Ukraine now? Why don't you visit Moldova, our brother country, before that? The wine is delicious, and there are many beautiful women!"

Thinking this was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, I canceled my flight, bought a ticket to Moldova, and completed an Airbnb reservation. Off to Moldova I went.

Upon arrival, the country I found was Moldova, a foreign land completely different from my imagination.

I'll omit the details of my experience in Moldova, but in that country, I fell in love with delicious wine and my wife at first sight, leading to our marriage.

My wife's country, Moldova, has the third deepest history of wine in the world, and there is no other country where the soil and climate are so perfectly suited for wine.

Queen Elizabeth is said to have enjoyed Moldovan wine, and indeed, it has a wonderful aroma and taste that is unlike anything I've ever experienced—"it's wine, yet it's not wine (is this what real wine is!?)" (by the way, I wasn't originally a wine lover and am a complete amateur).

I want to deliver such delicious Moldovan wine to as many Japanese people as possible. With this desire, alongside my medical profession, my family runs a Moldovan wine business.

The first event, held on February 28, 2026, saw an overwhelming number of applications. Following a radio appearance, the initial capacity of 120 people was increased to 150.

Many participants commented, "I didn't know such delicious wine could be drunk in Japan" and "I was surprised by the cost performance."
