Background and Purpose of Launching the Seikatsu Kaigo Service

U-Style Labo Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Nakano-ku, Tokyo; Representative: Ken Ohata), which provides care for individuals with severe disabilities and intractable diseases, operates under the mission "To deliver necessary care to everyone who needs it." Its core businesses include "Intensive Home-Care Support (U-Style Care)" and "Group Homes with Day Service Support (U-Style Home)" nationwide.

In recent years, with the promotion of "community integration" for individuals with severe disabilities, the need for places in the community where people with disabilities can belong has become extremely high. U-Style Labo has provided safe living spaces through home-care support and group home services. Now, we are launching "U-Style Living," a Seikatsu Kaigo service, as a "place for daytime activities."

The first facility, "U-Style Living Gyoda," has opened in Gyoda City, Saitama Prefecture, a 3-minute walk from Gyoda Station on the JR Takasaki Line.

Our company operates six facilities in Saitama Prefecture: "U-Style Care Saitama Intensive Home-Care Support" and "U-Style Care Kawagoe Intensive Home-Care Support," and "U-Style Home Kuki, Ina, Kumagaya-Tsunuma, Kazo-Hanazaki, Yashio, Kuki-Kamiuchi" (Day Service Support Group Homes).

Furthermore, in Saitama Prefecture, we plan to open new U-Style Homes in Fukaya, Kumagaya-Oshikiri, Kazo-Kuge, Gyoda, and Ageo. As a specialized provider of care for severe disabilities and intractable diseases, we will provide comprehensive support for the community living of individuals with severe disabilities in Saitama Prefecture through the three pillars of "home living, group living, and daytime activities."

This is a disability welfare service for "daytime activities" provided based on the Act on Support for Persons with Disabilities, primarily for individuals with severe disabilities. During daytime hours, at Seikatsu Kaigo facilities, services are provided to promote independent living and maintain/improve physical functions, by offering opportunities for productive activities and light work, while providing support such as physical care for meals and excretion.

By leveraging our accumulated knowledge in severe care and launching the "U-Style Living" Seikatsu Kaigo service, we aim to establish a comprehensive support system that covers both living arrangements and daytime activities.

Future Outlook

Starting with "U-Style Living Gyoda," we will deepen collaboration with our nationwide "U-Style Home" (Day Service Support Group Homes) and "U-Style Care" (Intensive Home-Care Support) facilities, and sequentially expand our multi-functional community welfare hubs.

By 2027, U-Style Homes will operate approximately 70 facilities nationwide, and U-Style Care (Intensive Home-Care Support) will operate approximately 100 offices, including franchises, across the country.
