Nippon Steel Engineering Co., Ltd. (Representative Director and President: Yukito Ishiwa, Headquarters: Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo; hereinafter 'the Company') has responded to the labor union regarding the basic wages for fiscal year 2026, as follows, in order to improve employee treatment and enhance competitiveness to stably acquire and retain excellent talent amidst intensifying talent acquisition competition across industries.
Basic wages for each union member will be increased by 16,000 yen per month (including regular salary increases, +8.4%).
Additionally, starting salaries for fiscal year 2026 are scheduled to be increased as follows:
Doctoral graduates: 387,000 yen (increase of 16,000 yen) Master's graduates: 335,000 yen (increase of 15,000 yen) Bachelor's graduates (Global Staff): 300,000 yen (increase of 15,000 yen) Bachelor's graduates (Expert Staff): 250,000 yen (increase of 10,000 yen) Technical college graduates: 266,000 yen (increase of 11,000 yen) High school graduates: 224,000 yen (increase of 9,000 yen)
The Company believes that the growth of each employee is the foundation for enhancing corporate value, in order to achieve sustainable growth in a rapidly changing business environment. In addition to improving treatment, we will further strengthen 'investment in people,' such as improving expertise and developing DX talent, and foster the growth of individuals who learn, think, and challenge themselves, aiming to realize a virtuous cycle where both the company and its employees grow together.
