Elith Establishes 'Elith AI Governance Lab' to Accelerate Safe Enterprise AI Adoption

Background

Enterprise adoption of generative AI and AI agents is rapidly transitioning from pilot phases to full-scale deployment. However, due to the non-deterministic nature of AI, an increasing number of companies face challenges in quality assurance and risk management. Balancing development speed with safety has become a critical business challenge.

To date, Elith has developed the AI safety platform 'GENFLUX' and provided AI implementation support, education, and advisory services across diverse industries such as manufacturing, finance, and healthcare. Through this experience, we have observed that companies actively advancing AI adoption often struggle with establishing internal governance frameworks and compliance measures.

Elith's technical capabilities have also been recognized in national projects. In June 2026, the joint proposal by Elith and Chubu University—'Development of FinGuard: An AI Guardrail Model Specialized for Financial Operations'—was selected for the fourth round of the 'GENIAC' project, a generative AI capability enhancement initiative led by Japan's Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) and NEDO. The project focuses on developing models to detect and block financial-sector-specific risks such as personal data leaks, compliance violations, hallucinations, and prompt injection attacks, as well as constructing 'FinGuard-Bench,' a financial-domain-specific safety benchmark. This has enabled Elith to accumulate expertise in the AI guardrail domain.

To systematize these insights and support enterprises in adopting AI both safely and swiftly, Elith has now established the Elith AI Governance Lab.

Insights gained from the 'FinGuard' project—selected for the fourth phase of METI/NEDO's 'GENIAC' initiative—will be applied to industry-specific risk detection methods.

- **Literacy Enhancement and Organizational Training** We offer AI literacy training programs aligned with JDLA certifications (such as the G-Test and E-License), as well as support for developing guidelines tailored to executives and frontline staff.
