## 1. Overview
To navigate ships safely, the wheelhouse requires robust monitors capable of displaying electronic navigational charts and radar with high visibility day and night. Since 2014, our company has continuously provided maritime monitors meeting these needs.
The five maritime monitors launching this time cover the basic performance required for maritime applications and feature EIZO's proprietary "optical bonding" as a standard feature. Optical bonding minimizes reflections and glare, ensuring high visibility even in wheelhouses prone to direct sunlight.
The lineup comes in three sizes: 27-inch, 23.8-inch, and 19-inch, with options to include a touch panel depending on the application. This enables flexible model selection tailored to the systems and equipment configurations of the wheelhouse.
## 2. Details
The 27-inch Full HD touch panel monitor "MDF2701W-T" is a model that adds touch panel functionality to the current "MDF2701W" model.
The 23.8-inch Full HD "MDF2401W" and touch panel monitor "MDF2401W-T" offer an excellent balance of visibility and space-saving design. This is the first time we have adopted this screen size for our maritime monitors, flexibly accommodating wheelhouses and engine rooms with limited installation space.
The 19-inch SXGA "MDS1901" and touch panel monitor "MDS1901-T" are successors to the "DuraVision FDS1904/FDS1904T." Compared to the previous models, they are lighter and more power-efficient, improving handling and operational efficiency in maritime applications.
Simultaneously, dedicated tilt stands "MDS-T272," "MDS-T242," and "MDS-T192" will be released for each compatible monitor. These stands allow the tilt angle to be adjusted in 15-degree increments to a comfortable viewing angle.
## 3. Main Features
### Standard optical bonding using dedicated equipment at EIZO's headquarters factory
Optical bonding, which fills the gap between the protective glass and the LCD module with optical elastic resin, reduces the reflection of external light and suppresses glare. In our verification using the MDF2701W (March 2024), it was found that a screen with a brightness of 350 cd/m² treated with optical bonding offered better visibility than an untreated, high-brightness 500 cd/m² screen.
### Supports a wide range of brightness dimming for clear viewing day and night
### Wide viewing angle panel with minimal color shift depending on the viewing angle
