(Taipei City, Taiwan), announced the joint provision of an 'AI-vRAN Integrated Server Solution' for ARC (AI-vRAN Computing) networks being built by global mobile operators. Through this partnership, the three companies will integrate their specialized technologies and products to provide an innovative infrastructure that efficiently executes both communication networks and edge AI on the same foundation.

Overview of the Product (AI-vRAN Integrated Server Solution)

In traditional RAN, dedicated base station hardware remained idle 'just for communication' even during off-peak hours (like late at night), wasting computational resources. However, the 5G and 6G ARC networks currently being planned by mobile operators will enable the fusion of 'communication' and 'AI' on a single platform.

This solution is an integrated platform that can simultaneously execute both 5G/6G virtualized Radio Access Network (vRAN) processing and advanced edge AI processing on the same server. (By running both communication (vRAN) and AI processing on the same GPU foundation, it achieves resource sharing and hardware commonality.) Equipped with the latest GPUs and flexibly configurable servers based on wireless network traffic, along with optimization for both vRAN and AI processing and hardware resource management functions, it maximizes investment efficiency.

Furthermore, for telecom carriers, base stations will transform from mere 'costs' into 'revenue-generating edge computing hubs.' Since they can execute AI inference as an edge AI service, they can leverage their overwhelming area coverage to offer a platform to external companies for 'low-latency AI applications' such as autonomous driving, smart cities, and factory robot control.
