“Shikikashi no Mise HIBIKA (Hibika)” is a Western confectionery brand based on the concept of “Japanese Western confectionery.”
“Japan and me.” is an event held at Hankyu Umeda Main Store to rediscover the charm of Japan's nature, technology, and culture.
As part of this initiative, we collaborated with painter Ryo Shinagawa, who has gained support from the next generation by expressing traditional Japanese paintings in a modern style, to create cakes that incorporate the new appeal of “expressing art and drawing inspiration from art.”
Shinagawa's work "Spring," created for "Japan and me." We focused on the visual and taste composition to allow people to feel the signs of spring, softness, and various textures scattered throughout the work, and incorporated them into two cakes.
These cakes offer new enjoyment for both those familiar with Shinagawa's work and HIBIKA fans.
