ECOVACS Japan Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President & CEO: Nagatoshi Umehara), a comprehensive manufacturer that handles research and development, manufacturing, and sales globally for home robots, will launch a new promotion for its window-cleaning robot 'WINBOT' starting June 2026.

The company develops and sells robot appliances highly acclaimed worldwide, including the robot vacuum 'DEEBOT' and the window-cleaning robot 'WINBOT'. Notably, 'WINBOT' ranked No.1 globally in unit sales for window-cleaning robots in 2025, according to a report published by global market research firm IDC (*1).

However, internal market research conducted by the company revealed that window cleaning is not frequently performed in Japan, and awareness of window-cleaning robots as a product category remains insufficient.

In response to this market environment, ECOVACS will launch an integrated campaign to widely communicate how WINBOT makes window cleaning safer and more convenient. The campaign humorously highlights the dangers of manual window cleaning while emphasizing the product's key features. By integrating web video ads, OOH advertising, and social media initiatives, the company aims to raise awareness and boost product recognition.

The new CM features an actor portraying a sumo wrestler, comically illustrating the risks associated with window cleaning while clearly showcasing WINBOT's strong suction power on glass surfaces and its one-touch easy start function.

The CM will roll out sequentially from early June across multiple platforms including YouTube, TVer, and JR East Japan Train TV Ads, targeting broad audience reach.

Additionally, as part of its social media strategy, ECOVACS has launched the 'WINBOT Onsite' campaign, inviting the public via X to nominate windows across Japan they'd like cleaned by WINBOT, with selected locations receiving on-site cleaning services.

The first initiative will clean the windows of JR East Japan's 'Takanawa Gateway Station'. Footage of the event will be published on the official ECOVACS JAPAN X account.
