eBay Japan Joins Keidanren

eBay Japan Co., Ltd. (Location: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, President: Masayuki Okada, hereinafter referred to as 'eBay Japan'), which has supported cross-border e-commerce (overseas sales) for Japanese sellers for 17 years through eBay, the world's largest online marketplace, is pleased to announce its membership in the Japan Business Federation (Keidanren) effective April 1, 2026. With this membership, eBay Japan will further accelerate support for the growth of the Japanese economy through cross-border EC and reuse, and will promote the creation of an environment where more Japanese businesses can access the global market.

eBay, under its banner of 'Economic Opportunity for All,' has provided economic opportunities to people worldwide for over 30 years as an online platform connecting sellers and buyers, operating marketplaces in over 190 countries and regions. In Japan, eBay Japan has delivered unique and attractive products originating from Japan to overseas markets by supporting the growth and profit expansion of sellers through cross-border e-commerce. Products from Japan, ranging from hobby items such as anime merchandise, trading cards, and cameras, to fashion items like handbags and watches, and even automotive parts, are sought after by collectors and enthusiasts worldwide due to their high quality and reliability.

Furthermore, on eBay, Pre-loved (second-hand items cherished by their previous owners) and Refurbished (refurbished items with warranty) products account for approximately 40% of total sales, fostering a buyer community (enthusiasts) who enjoy discovering unique items. In recent years, the reuse market and cross-border e-commerce market have been expanding, garnering attention as sectors supporting a circular economy based on resource recycling.
