Background of the Event

Hagiwara Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Kurashiki City, Okayama Prefecture; President: Hideyasu Hagiwara) has approached 'igusa' (rush grass) with a 'fearless attitude toward change' since its founding. While opportunities to interact with igusa have decreased due to lifestyle changes, we believe in its value and launched the 'Tsunagu, Igusa. Future PROJECT' in 2019. Following workshops in Nihonbashi and Toyosu, we are now holding a marche at Tokyo Station, the gateway to Tokyo, to bring the charm of igusa directly to even more people.

Highlights of the 'Igusa Marche'

Sales of carefully selected igusa items: We will offer a lineup of Japanese-style miscellaneous goods that blend into modern life and igusa products that enrich daily living.

Experience 'igusa' with your five senses: We have prepared approximately 20 tatami mats at the venue. We will hold an exhibition where you can experience the functionality and history of igusa while being enveloped in its pleasant scent.

Visitor Benefits: We have prepared special coasters (for the first 500 visitors) for this event and look forward to seeing you there.
