e-dash Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President and Representative Director: Toma Yamazaki) has been commissioned by Yamagata Prefecture (Governor: Mieko Yoshimura) to implement the 'Yamagata Prefecture Decarbonization Management Promotion Support Project' for the second consecutive year. Applications for the decarbonization seminars and the 'Yamagata GX Management School,' designed to assist SMEs in Yamagata Prefecture with decarbonization management, open today, June 10, 2026.
Yamagata Prefecture has set a goal of 'Zero Carbon Yamagata 2050,' aiming for a 50% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions by fiscal 2030 compared to 2013 levels. For SMEs, which are crucial to the industrial sector's decarbonization, challenges such as not knowing where to start or lacking expertise and resources remain. Additionally, demands for emission disclosures throughout supply chains are rising, making decarbonization a necessity for maintaining regional competitiveness.
Under this project, in collaboration with Yamagata Prefecture and three local financial institutions, e-dash will hold four sessions of the 'Yamagata GX Management School.' This year, a new curriculum on Carbon Footprint (CFP) calculation will be introduced to support participating companies in visualizing their CO2 emissions and formulating reduction plans. Participating companies can receive all these services for free until the end of February 2027.
