(Address: 1-13 Shimbashi 1-chome, Minato-ku, Tokyo; Capital: 30 billion yen; President: Shuichi Asakuno), a subsidiary of Nippon Light Metal Holdings Company, Ltd. (Same address; Capital: 46.5 billion yen; President: Shuichi Asakuno), have entered into a strategic partnership agreement for the purpose of joint technological and business development in metal recycling for lithium-ion batteries, solar panels, EV motors, and more.

Recently, concerning the metal resources such as rare metals used in the fields of lithium-ion batteries, solar panels, and EV motors, in addition to supply constraints and price surges, rising geopolitical risks have created a pressing need to realize a circular economy that balances stable procurement with the reduction of environmental impact.

Through this partnership, both companies will leverage their respective strengths to create new value that contributes to the realization of a circular economy via joint technological and business development in the metal recycling of lithium-ion batteries, solar panels, EV motors, and other related components.
