DNP Launches "TEAM NEXT 2025" Project to Inherit Co-creation Network from Osaka-Kansai Expo

Dai Nippon Printing Co., Ltd. (DNP) will inherit the co-creation network with companies and organizations built through the "TEAM EXPO 2025" program*1, an initiative for the 2025 Japan International Exposition (Osaka-Kansai Expo), and will launch a new project "TEAM NEXT 2025" with partner companies to solve social and regional issues and contribute to urban development. Through "TEAM NEXT 2025," DNP will lead various companies and organizations in collaboration to promote co-creation projects that lead to the creation of new business opportunities, such as urban revitalization and the promotion of tourism and culture.

Prior to the launch of this project, as part of "inheriting the legacy of the Osaka-Kansai Expo," one of the six themes, a kickoff event with the theme of "co-creation" with sponsoring companies and organizations of the "International Horticultural Exposition 2027 (GREEN×EXPO 2027)" will be held on Thursday, May 14, 2026, in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo.

【About "TEAM NEXT 2025"】

This project aims to develop the co-creation framework cultivated at the Osaka-Kansai Expo into continuous activities even after its closing. At the Osaka-Kansai Expo, the "TEAM EXPO 2025" program was implemented, where diverse participants co-created a future society. The achievements and network from that program will be passed on to "TEAM NEXT 2025." The name embodies the idea of connecting the network and co-creation results formed by "TEAM EXPO 2025" to future initiatives.

At the start of the project, activities will be primarily promoted by the following companies and organizations. Going forward, the expansion of participating companies and organizations will be pursued.

Main Objectives and Activities of TEAM NEXT 2025

"TEAM NEXT 2025" is a project where participating companies and organizations share their challenges and visions to concretize six co-creation themes.

1. Urban revitalization in the Osaka-Kansai area, promotion of integrated resorts and MICE*2

In urban/area redevelopment, we aim to consider and implement content and themes that reflect the characteristics of each area.

2. Creation and nurturing of new industries and technologies

We aim to create businesses that solve social and regional issues by collaborating with startup companies in areas such as sustainability, education, finance, and information.

3. Improvement of regional brand power through the utilization of art, tourism, and cultural resources

We will promote initiatives that contribute to the promotion of tourism and the improvement of regional brand power by utilizing art and unique local cultural resources.

4. Human resource development and concretization of co-creation themes through collaboration with educational and research institutions

We will advance human resource development and the concretization of business co-creation themes in collaboration with universities and research institutions.

5. Establishment of a regional ecosystem

We will promote the creation of a foundation for regional co-creation through collaboration among diverse stakeholders, including companies, organizations, and local governments, across public and private sectors.

6. Inheritance of the Osaka-Kansai Expo legacy

We will pass on the cutting-edge technologies, services, and co-creation foundations introduced at the Osaka-Kansai Expo to future international events and cities/regions.
