March 2026 Part-time Hourly Wage Survey: National Average Hourly Wage is 1,349 Yen

The national average hourly wage for part-time workers in March 2026 was 1,349 yen, an increase of 37 yen year-on-year and 12 yen month-on-month. The number of job postings on "Baitoru" reached approximately 417,000, marking a 10.7% increase year-on-year and a 5.1% increase month-on-month. Regional average hourly wages were: Kanto 1,412 yen, Tokai 1,330 yen, Kansai 1,337 yen, and Kyushu 1,253 yen. Average hourly wages by occupation were: clerical 1,368 yen, professional 1,654 yen, food and beverage 1,215 yen, sales 1,222 yen, service 1,347 yen, transport/cleaning/packaging 1,361 yen, construction 1,547 yen, manufacturing/skilled 1,537 yen, and education 1,604 yen. The survey methodology adopted 9 occupational categories disclosed by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare since March 2018. Excluded data includes dispatched worker job information and establishments primarily offering entertainment with alcohol. Dip Corporation, established in March 1997 with a capital of 1,085 million yen (as of February 2024) and 2,780 full-time employees (as of April 1, 2025), operates human resources services and DX businesses.
