Digital Grid Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President & CEO: Yusuke Toyota; hereinafter "the Company") will manage supply-demand balancing and power sales to the market for the virtual PPA (environmental value [1] transaction of renewable energy) concluded between Daisel Corporation (hereinafter "Daisel") and Chiiki Denryoku Corporation (hereinafter "Chiiki Denryoku").

Under this initiative, Chiiki Denryoku will install solar power plants dedicated to Daisel across Japan, with Hexa Energy Services LLC (hereinafter "Hexa Energy Services") managing plant operations. The Company will aggregate the environmental value generated from these solar power plants—scheduled to begin operations sequentially from July 2026—to promote Daisel’s decarbonization.

As a pioneer shaping the future of energy, the Company provides diverse services to achieve a sustainable society free from energy constraints.

[1] Environmental Value: Renewable energy generates electricity without CO₂ emissions, and this “positive environmental impact” constitutes its environmental value.

This project consolidates approximately 80 small-scale solar power plants developed and installed nationwide by Chiiki Denryoku, with Hexa Energy Services managing operations and Digital Grid handling supply-demand management to enable large-scale renewable energy supply. The scheme utilizes the Company’s proprietary virtual PPA, the Green Purchase Agreement (GPA®) [3], which leverages the FIP system [2].

*[2] FIP System: A scheme under which renewable energy generators receive a fixed premium (subsidy) on top of the market price when selling electricity in wholesale markets.

*[3] GPA: The Company’s proprietary service name for direct environmental value transactions using the FIP system. The settlement mechanism is designed to minimize price fluctuations for buyers purchasing environmental value.
