SuperIO Inc. Certified as 'New Business Field Pioneer' in Tokyo's 'On-site Dialogue Startup Collaboration Project'

SuperIO Inc. (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo, CEO: Motoko Ishii) was selected for the 'On-site Dialogue Startup Collaboration Project (FY2025)' implemented by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Startup Strategy Promotion Headquarters, and developed the character customization platform 'Character Base'. As a result of this project, the company was certified as a 'New Business Field Pioneer' by the Governor of Tokyo on March 24, 2026. The certification period is valid until March 31, 2029.

■ Background and Challenges
The Tokyo Metropolitan Government Bureau of Urban Development has utilized its bureau character 'Toshi Seippi' for events and press releases. However, existing data was limited to flat 2D images showing only front and side views, making it difficult to use the character with diverse expressions and poses. Additionally, because metropolitan staff lacked the technical skills to handle 3D data, there was a challenge in utilizing the character in a three-dimensional format.

The 'On-site Dialogue Startup Collaboration Project' conducted by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government is an initiative aiming to solve challenges in metropolitan administration workplaces through direct dialogue between government staff and startups with excellent technologies. In FY2025, a total of 20 projects were selected, and SuperIO Inc. worked collaboratively with the Bureau of Urban Development as one of these selected companies.

■ Project Content and Results
SuperIO Inc. utilized a unique approach fusing advanced 3D technology, AI, and design to convert 'Toshi Seippi', which previously existed only as flat images, into 3D data, and developed 'Character Base', a platform equipped with intuitive operations and an AI assistant function. Through this platform, metropolitan staff can instantly select and generate poses and expressions, enabling character utilization tailored to various projects.
