Letter of Appreciation Presented to Nakanishi Mfg. Co., Ltd. for Utilizing the Corporate Hometown Tax System to Donate to Komono Town

Komono Town has received a donation of 1 million yen from Nakanishi Mfg. Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Ikuno-ku, Osaka) utilizing the Corporate Hometown Tax (Regional Revitalization Support Tax System).

In response to this, on April 7, 2026, the Mayor of Komono Town presented a letter of appreciation to Mr. Kazuma Nakanishi, Representative Director and President of Nakanishi Mfg. Co., Ltd.

The received donation will be utilized for the 'Support Project for Transitioning Club Activities to Local Communities' under Komono Town's regional regeneration plan, the 'Komono Town Town, People, and Work Revitalization Promotion Plan.'

* Regional transition of club activities: This is a policy promoted by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT). By transitioning holiday club activities at local junior high schools (Komono Junior High School, Happu Junior High School) into local community club activities, the town is developing an environment to conduct sustainable sports and cultural activities for the future, tailored to the actual conditions of the community, schools, and students.

Nakanishi Mfg. Co., Ltd. declared its commitment to SDGs in November 2019 and has been conducting related activities.
This donation aligns with that declaration and aims to contribute to proactive community exchange and industrial development.

Starting from the business of selling cooking utensils such as aluminum tableware for milk lunches during the postwar reconstruction period, the company today manufactures and sells mass-cooking equipment, providing 'design,' 'construction,' and 'establishment support' for school lunch centers and school lunch rooms nationwide. In April 2022, they introduced a system, rare in Japan, where 'the company covers the school lunch fees for employees' children,' actively working to solve social issues such as the declining birthrate and fostering the next generation.

### Corporate Hometown Tax (Regional Revitalization Support Tax System)
This is a mechanism where, when a company makes a donation to a local government's regional revitalization initiatives positioned within a state-approved regional regeneration plan, a tax deduction is applied to corporate taxes.

Combined with the mitigation effect of inclusion in deductible expenses (about 30% of the donation amount) and tax credit (up to 60% of the donation amount), up to approximately 90% of the donation amount is mitigated, reducing the practical burden on the company to about 10%.

Komono Town is accepting donations utilizing the Corporate Hometown Tax system from companies headquartered outside Komono Town to respond to regional issues and utilize the funds for projects related to regional revitalization.
