Launch of 'Road Patrol Solution,' an AI-Powered Road Management Support Service

Denki Kogyo Co., Ltd. and Cybercore Co., Ltd. have jointly developed and launched the "Road Patrol Solution," which uses AI dashcams to detect and visualize road damage via edge AI. This solution is a road management support service that assists local governments and infrastructure management companies in streamlining and labor-saving their road management tasks. It uses a dashcam-type terminal that can be installed in various vehicles without the need for dedicated vehicles or analysis equipment. The AI dashcam installed in the vehicle analyzes footage in real-time using edge AI, automatically detects road damage (potholes, cracks), sends images and location information of the damaged areas to the cloud, and allows users to check the detection results on a web dashboard. In addition, images are automatically masked using a privacy mask function, allowing information to be provided to contractors while respecting personal information protection. The sales price is open-price for both initial and monthly fees, and terminal communication line costs are included in the monthly fee. A minimum usage period of 6 months is required. Key features include real-time detection and alerts, image storage, latitude/longitude recording, privacy masking, web dashboard viewing, and searching/downloading of detection results. Through the provision of this solution, we will work to further improve the service based on usage conditions and feedback from actual road management operations. We will continue to contribute to the maintenance of safe and secure social infrastructure by supporting efficient and advanced infrastructure maintenance by local governments and infrastructure management companies through the use of AI and data.
