We have launched the new water sandal "ApreAqua Drift" (pronounced Ap-re-Aqua Drift), which embodies this brand philosophy, on July 1, 2026 (Wed).

Teva, originating from the world's first sports sandal conceived by a river guide in 1984, has created footwear for enjoying water activities more freely and comfortably. The new water sandal "ApreAqua Drift" inherits that water heritage while elevating it to a model that is easier to enjoy by the water and can be incorporated into daily life. It features a lightweight, floating injection-molded EVA upper, making it suitable for a variety of waterside scenes such as river play, SUP, boat fishing, and beaches. Furthermore, it achieves high hold and traction with FuseLockTM hook-and-loop fasteners, which boast twice the strength of conventional products, and an outsole with rubber pods. In addition to functionality, it adopts a minimalist design with a unified tone from the upper to the footbed, achieving versatility that blends with a wide range of styles. "ApreAqua Drift" is a new water sandal that seamlessly connects the waterside to the city, representing Teva's DNA, which began by the water, in a modern way.

The new water sandal "ApreAqua Drift" combines functionality that shines by the water with comfort suitable for everyday use. It features a lightweight, floating injection-molded EVA upper, providing easy handling and comfortable wear on the water or on a boat. The FuseLockTM hook-and-loop fasteners, boasting twice the strength of conventional products, offer high hold and durability. Additionally, the fit can be finely adjusted with straps on the forefoot and ankle, while rubber pods on the outsole provide excellent durability and traction. It offers stable comfort from waterside activities to city walks.

One day, when his sandal was about to come off by the water, he improvised by attaching a watch's hook-and-loop fastener strap to the thong, designing it to prevent the sandal from coming off, and thus Teva sandals began. Teva sandals were created not by making something new, but by using "what was available," in a bricolage-like manner.
