Video Calling System 'Live-X' Introduced and Operational at Chubu Electric Power Grid Co., Inc.

The video calling system 'Live-X' provided by Dawn Corp (Headquarters: Kobe, Hyogo Prefecture; President & CEO: Masanobu Miyazaki) was introduced at Chubu Electric Power Grid Co., Inc. (Headquarters: Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture; President & CEO: Ryuichi Shimizu, hereafter 'Chubu Electric Power Grid') and began operation on April 6, 2026. 'Live-X' has been officially adopted by Chubu Electric Power Grid as a real-time video calling communication tool for inquiries from general customers regarding abnormalities in power equipment such as utility poles and power lines, as well as for confirming situations and identifying causes during power outages. By utilizing 'Live-X,' it leads to early identification and resolution of causes, allows for prompt implementation of appropriate safety measures, and achieves an operation that balances further service improvement through advanced communication with customers and rapid field response. 'Live-X' applies the technology of the video reporting system ('Live119' for fire departments) developed by our company, and is a tool that can be widely used for real-time communication via video calls. It adopts a method where the party requesting video transmission (such as various operational bases) guides the caller (customer, etc.) to a dedicated website, and the video call starts when the caller displays it. There is no need to download a dedicated app in advance, and it can be used with simple operations. The system has been increasingly adopted not only by government agencies such as fire departments, police, and local governments, but also by private business companies.
