Our company endorses April Dream, which aims to make April 1st a day for expressing dreams. This press release is a dream of "Daiwa Corporation."

Daiwa Corporation (Headquarters: Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo; President: Kazumitsu Sone), a logistics service provider, is undertaking initiatives through the "Waku Waku Project" directly under the president, aimed at improving the working environment and attractiveness of warehouse sites, led by young employees.

12th Generation Waku Waku Project Members

What is the "Waku Waku Project" led by young employees?

The Waku Waku Project (hereinafter: Waku Waku PJ) is one of our company's unique new graduate recruitment initiatives that has been ongoing since 2014. It is a company-wide recruitment project directly under the president, led by young employees up to their fourth year of employment, who plan and operate company information sessions and warehouse tours from a young person's perspective.

Currently, the 12th generation members are active, consisting of the "Company Information Session Team," "Warehouse Tour Team," and "Creative Team." Their serious goal is to change the "3K" (Kitsui - demanding, Kitanai - dirty, Kiken - dangerous) image of the logistics industry and establish the status of 'professionals' who are admired as essential supporters of society.

Current Initiatives: "Vision Map" shaped by the aspirations of young employees

The Creative Team worked on planning and creating newspaper-style materials and novelties to be distributed to students at company information sessions, aiming to visualize the "excitement of logistics" that cannot be fully conveyed through words alone. Among their greatest achievements is the production of a "Vision Map," created with the cooperation of an illustrator, which expresses the desired future for themselves and the organization in a single diagram.

【Aspirations and Guidelines embedded in the Vision Map】

This map embodies the Waku Waku PJ members' heartfelt aspirations for a future they truly wish to realize.

・Creating a "comfortable company" by ourselves: We value not only the physical environment but also the "mental fulfillment" that makes us excited to come to work every day.

・Spreading the "fun of logistics": We will convey the energy that drives society and the coolness behind it in a visible form.

・Towards a workplace where "love and respect" circulate: We aim to be the best team where each individual is the protagonist, acknowledging and elevating each other.

This is not merely a future projection. It is an unwavering declaration of determination by young employees to redefine the image of logistics with their own hands and create a 'new normal' where they can work with pride.

Aspirations of a young employee belonging to the Creative Team

We believe that the Vision Map we created has become a guideline and foundation for our own and the organization's growth. Through the creation of the Vision Map, we felt that it is essential for future warehouse sites to transform into workplaces where everyone, regardless of gender or age, can fully utilize their strengths. We want to take the initiative to create an exciting environment where employees can positively engage with their work and naturally feel, "Let's do our best today." With the Vision Map as a catalyst, we will realize this future with our own hands.

Our "Dream" to fulfill

Through the Waku Waku Project, we will review the working environment and what employees wear, aiming to create a workplace where employees can be proud to work in this environment, in order to realize the future vision depicted in the Vision Map.

Through these initiatives, our company will dispel the image of the logistics industry and elevate the value of work that supports society to a higher standard.

This year, our company celebrates its 75th anniversary. We believe that the smiles of our employees will naturally lead to the best services that exceed customer expectations, and we will continue our accumulated efforts steadily towards achieving a 100-year company.
