Daihatsu Motor Co., Ltd. (hereinafter "Daihatsu") will exhibit at the "32nd Comprehensive Welfare Exhibition: Barrier Free 2026," one of the largest welfare equipment exhibitions in Western Japan, which proposes comfortable living for the elderly and people with disabilities. The event will be held at Intex Osaka from Wednesday, April 15, to Friday, April 17, 2026.
At this year's "Barrier Free 2026," we will exhibit light welfare vehicles, including wheelchair-accessible vehicles and lift-seat vehicles, as well as the "e-SNEAKER," a walking-area mobility device that supports short-distance travel. Furthermore, within our booth, we will set up a display area to introduce our mobility services, including "Rakupita Sougei," which was renewed in October 2025 to meet the complex transport needs in the welfare and nursing care sector, and the welfare/nursing care joint transport service "Goissho."
Under our corporate philosophy of "Lighten the burden on the customer and enrich their lives," Daihatsu provides a diverse lineup of welfare vehicles tailored to the care needs of users through our "Friendship Series." This has earned us high praise from many customers and allowed us to achieve the No. 1 market share* in light welfare vehicles. Additionally, to deliver high-quality, affordable products to customers in a timely manner, we have long been committed to in-house production of welfare vehicles. We achieve mixed-model production with base vehicles at facilities such as the Shiga (Ryuo) Plant District 2 and the Daihatsu Kyushu Co., Ltd. Oita (Nakatsu) Plant No. 1. Meanwhile, we are engaged in various initiatives aimed at creating a society where everyone can move freely, such as developing mobility services that support local communities and the elderly.
Moving forward, Daihatsu will continue to advance our efforts through both "monozukuri" (manufacturing) and "kotozukuri" (service creation) to realize a mobility society that enriches our customers' lives by providing products and services that contribute to the welfare and nursing care sector.
*No. 1 market share: Total for 2025 light welfare vehicles (wheelchair-accessible vehicles, lift-seat vehicles, and rotating-seat vehicles). Based on Daihatsu research from publicly available manufacturer data.
