GBVSR's Latest Update Ver. 2.60 to Launch September 17 (Thu)! Nintendo SwitchTM 2 Version Also Releasing That Day

Cygames, Inc. (hereinafter "Cygames" Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Koichi Watanabe), a company engaged in planning, developing, and operating games, announces that the latest update Ver. 2.60 for Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising (hereinafter "GBVSR")—a title planned and produced by Cygames and developed by Arc System Works Co., Ltd. for PlayStation®5, PlayStation®4, and Steam®—will be released on September 17, 2026 (Thu).

Additionally, on the same day, September 17, 2026 (Thu), the Nintendo SwitchTM 2 version of GBVSR will launch, and a save data联动 bonus with the upcoming action RPG title GRANBLUE FANTASY: Relink - Endless Ragnarok has been confirmed.

Update Ver. 2.60 to Launch on September 17 (Thu)!

The release of Update Ver. 2.60 for GBVSR has been confirmed for September 17, 2026 (Thu).

This update will introduce "Id" as a new DLC character from the action RPG GRANBLUE FANTASY: Relink. The legendary swordsman who stood against the protagonists in the Zega Grande airspace will now officially join the battle in GBVSR.

How will Id, who carries the power of the Dragon of Destruction, interact with the existing cast of GBVSR? Fans of the series are highly encouraged to stay tuned!

In addition to Id, Update Ver. 2.60 will include a new stage, "Aynstead Archipelago," a new universal system applicable to all characters, and balance adjustments for multiple characters. Further details will be announced at a later date.

Nintendo SwitchTM 2 Version of GBVSR to Launch on September 17 (Thu)!

GBVSR is finally coming to Nintendo SwitchTM 2.

The Nintendo SwitchTM 2 version will feature all 40 characters, including the new character "Id" and all previously released DLC characters. The game also supports local wireless multiplayer, allowing players to enjoy easy one-button special moves anytime, anywhere, with any character!

All beloved content from GBVSR—including the full-length Story Mode and the Digital Figure Mode—will be fully included.
