Seminar Overview

As companies increasingly decentralize and reorganize their bases, office relocation and expansion to regional areas are gaining attention from the perspectives of cost optimization, talent acquisition, and business continuity. However, a lack of understanding regarding initial investment and system utilization often poses a hurdle for relocation and expansion.

In this seminar, an official from the Cabinet Office will speak and explain the "Regional Base Enhancement Tax System," which promotes corporate relocation and expansion of bases to regional areas, detailing its outline and key points for utilization.

This system provides corporate tax credits, etc., corresponding to the acquisition cost of buildings, etc., for companies that establish bases such as offices, research institutes, and training centers in regional areas. A key feature is that for relocations from Tokyo's 23 wards to regional areas, companies can receive a 7% corporate tax credit or a 25% special depreciation on the acquisition cost of buildings, etc. (For relocations within regional areas or expansions not involving relocation, a 4% corporate tax credit or 15% special depreciation is available.)
