Entertainment agencies Riko Motion and Cube's lesson studio 'ACTLABO OSAKA' (Fukushima-ku, Osaka City) will hold the workshop '4 Days to Create a Play' by Eisei Tsuchida, playwright, director, and scriptwriter for Gekidan MONO, from May to June 2026.

This project is a practical workshop where selected participants, after an audition, will create a short theatrical work in 4 days and present it on the final day.

At 'ACTLABO OSAKA', located under the elevated tracks of JR Osaka Loop Line's Fukushima Station, we continuously host the special project series 'ACTLABO WORKS' featuring workshops by leading directors and actors. To date, instructors have included Shinta Furuta, Masahiko Kawahara, Yuji Kishi, and Kentaro Otani, and the program has received support from many participants as a provider of practical acting experience.

This workshop, led by Eisei Tsuchida, the head of Gekidan MONO, is being held for the third time due to popular demand.

Interested participants first attend an audition-style workshop. Subsequently, the selected members, under Eisei Tsuchida's direction, will engage in four days of intensive rehearsal to create a new short play.

The script will be newly written by Natsuki Yamamura, a playwright drawing attention for works like the OMS Playwright Award and Sendai Short Play Award, tailored to the participants. A presentation to the audience is scheduled for the final day.

Through the creative process of completing a work in a short period, this workshop allows participants to learn not only fundamental acting skills but also practical stage creation abilities. It's four days of pushing forward to the performance. Please experience the creation process firsthand.
