Focus on Interpreting Themes and Visualizing Them! Free Online Seminar on May 28 (Thu): "Using Image Generation AI More Freely and Enjoyably ~ Let's Create and Share AI Images Based on the Same Theme!"

Creek & River Co., Ltd. (C&R Co.) will hold a free online seminar "Using Image Generation AI More Freely and Enjoyably ~ Let's Create and Share AI Images Based on the Same Theme!" on Thursday, May 28, where participants will create images using image generation AI based on the same theme and enjoy sharing the process and results.

This seminar is a practical webinar that combines explanation and a workshop. It is not a course to learn how to use specific tools, but rather focuses on "how to interpret a theme and translate it into visuals." The key point is "creating a story." When you put the character's background and situation into words, prompts become much easier to write. This workshop provides an opportunity to practice this experience together. After explaining how to translate a theme into a scenario, the process of building character settings and scenes from there, and finally the points for converting them into prompts (including tips for having LLMs write prompts), the workshop will move on to hands-on image generation.

The image generation AI tools to be used, such as ChatGPT, Nanobanana, Canva, and Stable Diffusion (local environment), can be freely selected. Participants can create their works in their respective environments using tools they usually use or wanted to try. Completed works can be posted using the image sharing service Padlet. No user registration is required to share work images, titles, and prompts used. Posted works will be displayed in a list on the spot, allowing participants to interact with each other through "likes" and appreciation from perspectives such as: ・How was the theme interpreted? ・What ingenuity was put into the prompts? ・Why are the results so different even with the same theme?

You can enjoy the diversity of ideas born from using AI and the "insights gained by looking at other people's prompts," acquiring both learning and experience simultaneously. Hisashi Uchida Instructor, Creators College, Nippon Engineering College Filmmaker/Designer Mr. Hisashi Uchida teaches animation, manga, and game industry aspiring students in the fields of video production and design at a vocational school, providing practical guidance from both planning/production and expression techniques. In recent years, with the rapid evolution of generative AI, he has actively introduced AI tools such as text generation and image/video generation into the educational setting. While disseminating how to utilize AI in creative work with practical examples, he also belongs to the community "IKIGAI Lab." which promotes the use of generative AI, and has given presentations and lectures for teachers and educators at various seminars and training sessions, including the Education AI Summit 2024. In addition to his educational activities, he also works as a freelance filmmaker, producing a wide range of video works including corporate VPs (video packages), music videos, and projection mapping.
