Palette Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Haruki Miyake; hereinafter "Palette"), a company providing employment support services for people with disabilities, announced on July 15, 2026, that Yumiko Setoguchi, Mayor of Koga City, and staff members from the city’s Disability Welfare Division visited its Mito facility.
Background of the Visit
Operating under the mission “My support sustains the community,” Palette aims to build a new, locally rooted infrastructure for employment of people with disabilities. The company operates 'Canvas,' a satellite-office-style employment support service, and 'Colors Lab,' a job transition support program, across Japan.
This visit was conducted to allow Koga City officials to observe Palette’s facilities as a reference for promoting disability employment, creating opportunities for local talent, and revitalizing the community. The visit also served as an opportunity to exchange views on potential future collaboration.
Overview of the Visit
During the visit, the delegation toured the Canvas Mito Office, BPO Center, and Colors Lab Mito, observing firsthand the operations of disability employment and job transition support services. They viewed how users with disabilities work and the supportive environments provided, and engaged in discussions on current challenges in disability employment and the potential for job creation within the local community.
Following the site visit, further discussions were held on future collaboration possibilities toward promoting disability employment and regional revitalization. The dialogue was deepened.
Future Outlook
Moving forward, Palette will strengthen its collaboration with Koga City by disseminating information on disability employment, hosting corporate seminars, and supporting local businesses. The company aims to concretize a regional revitalization model through collaboration among government, businesses, and welfare organizations. Additionally, Palette is actively considering the establishment of a combined 'Canvas' and 'Colors Lab' local hub within Koga City and is advancing discussions toward its opening.
Palette will continue contributing to building inclusive communities where everyone can learn, work, and thrive by establishing a new, locally embedded infrastructure for disability employment.
