What is the wearable memo "wemo®"?

wemo® is a wearable memo brand whose philosophy is to "reduce stress related to memory." In 2017, we launched the "wemo® Band Type," a wristband-type memo designed to be worn on the arm. Inspired by nurses writing directly on their arms, this product allows users to write with an oil-based ballpoint pen and erase with an eraser, making it reusable. The newly released wemo® PRO Band Type [Glow Model] is a new wearable memo that balances "on-site safety" with "support for memory and record-keeping."

In fields such as emergency services, firefighting, disaster relief, construction, and building, work in dark environments with limited light sources often occurs. In such situations, reduced visibility can make it difficult to ascertain the location of workers, increasing the risk of accidents. Furthermore, challenges arise from the inability to write or read memos in the dark, leading to information transmission errors. A user request from an emergency medical site specifically stated, "It is difficult to read memos during nighttime or low-light activities. A glow-in-the-dark function would make memos easier to use, contribute to safety, and enable smoother on-site operations."

This product complies with the JB class (medium luminance) of JIS standard (JIS Z 9107) glow-in-the-dark performance. By storing light beforehand, it emits light in the dark, not only making memos easy to write and read but also informing others of the wearer's location. Feedback from active paramedics who used a prototype included, "When wearing it during nighttime traffic accident responses, it continuously glows, making it easy for other team members to see my location. It's a very attractive feature for improving safety."

In addition, this product is equipped with features for professionals working in harsh environments, similar to the professional specification "wemo® PRO Band Type" released in 2024.

The "wemo® PRO Band Type" was developed based on feedback from active paramedics who used the "wemo Band Type," targeting professionals working in fields such as emergency services, firefighting, construction, and disaster relief.

To ensure a secure fit even over thick uniforms worn in demanding environments, the length has been increased to 40cm, 1.7 times that of conventional products, and the thickness has been reinforced to approximately 1.5 times for improved durability. Furthermore, proprietary technology achieves toughness that "can withstand any environment," including cold and heat resistance, chemical and oil resistance, and abrasion resistance. Additionally, features such as strap holes to prevent detachment during high-altitude work have been incorporated, reflecting the voices of frontline professionals.
