Cosmos Foods Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Sanda City, Hyogo Prefecture; CEO: Kosuke Marui), which manufactures and sells freeze-dried foods, including the 'Shiawase Ippai' miso soup series made with its proprietary 'Nikoniko Method®', aims to be 'No.1 in Space Food by 2035' with its freeze-drying (vacuum freeze-drying) technology.
Our company supports April Dream, a movement to make April 1st a day to express dreams. This press release is the dream of 'Cosmos Foods'.
### The Background of the Dream — Why Space Food?
Cosmos Foods was established in 1969 in Sanda City, Hyogo Prefecture.
Starting with the development of freeze-drying technology, driven by the aspiration to 'create space (COSMOS) food for the 21st century.' Generally, when you hear 'space food,' you might imagine special meals eaten by astronauts. However, the space food we define is not limited to that.
It refers to 'circular food' itself, which is sustained by utilizing all elements present on Earth, such as water, air, energy, nutrition, and fermentation. We believe this concept will become increasingly important, even in the current era where resource and environmental constraints are evident. Based on this idea, continuing to create and develop food with an awareness of circularity is our practice of space food and contributes to building a sustainable, circular society.

### Cosmos Foods' Initiatives — Accumulated Technology
Our company has long engaged with freeze-drying technology. We have refined our technology with the idea of preserving the natural goodness of ingredients by removing moisture to the minimum necessary heat, and maintaining quality without adding unnecessary substances. This approach has guided our technological development.
