[Activity Report] From Sports Frenzy to Promoting Understanding of Invisible Challenges: Reflecting on Initiatives with Chiba Jets

Cosmo Health Co., Ltd., which holds the vision of "creating a society without illness," has been conducting community-rooted social contribution activities as an official partner of the professional basketball team "Chiba Jets."

Over the past year, we have walked hand-in-hand with Chiba Jets, resonating with the philosophy of their social contribution project "JETS ASSIST": "Social contribution begins with support." Through the power of sports, we have worked to ensure that many people learn about the challenges faced by individuals like Koyuki Kinjo and the "invisible" difficulties that lie behind them.

In Japan, approximately 1.12 million people hold designated intractable disease recipient certificates, meaning many are facing rare or intractable diseases. Due to their rarity and low public awareness, there are many cases where it takes a long time to reach a diagnosis, or individuals become isolated, unable to consult with those around them.

"Ehlers-Danlos syndrome," featured in this report, is one such condition, presenting difficulties that are not easily conveyed by appearance alone, alongside a lack of social understanding. Starting with messaging aligned with Rare Disease Day (RDD), Cosmo Health has been supporting Koyuki Kinjo’s challenges. This report looks back on the year’s activities, focusing on the sponsored match held on Sunday, April 26, 2026.

## Sponsored Match Report: 3 Seconds that Moved 10,000 People in the Arena
On Sunday, April 26, we held a Cosmo Health sponsored match against the Hiroshima Dragonflies at LaLa arena TOKYO-BAY.

At the opening ceremony, Koyuki Kinjo, who faces the designated intractable disease Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, took on a re-challenge to score a free throw. While 10,000 spectators watched, Ms. Kinjo rose from her wheelchair on her own and aimed for the goal. Although the shot did not reach the ring, her dedicated spirit deeply moved the entire arena. This challenge was fueled by her wish to "deliver even a little bit of positivity to those facing similar worries and difficulties."

## Reflecting on the Year: Multi-faceted Approach to Community
To channel the excitement of the arena into daily "health" and "learning," we supported the following activities throughout the year:

1. Conducting "Health Workshops" to revitalize seniors
We conducted cheer dance exercises led by STAR JETS for seniors in Funabashi City.

2. "Book Share & Drive" project to create a cycle of learning
We operated a booth at home game venues to collect books from attendees and supported a "cycle of learning" to deliver them to those in need in Funabashi City.

## Future Outlook: Turning Sports Frenzy into a Sustainable "Culture of Prevention"
This year spent walking with Chiba Jets taught us that sports have the power to change people's feelings positively and create new interactions and understanding. Under our vision of "creating a society without illness," Cosmo Health will continue to move forward to plant the "culture where prevention is standard" across Japan.
