The Piano Teachers' National Association of Japan (PTNA, located in Toshima-ku, Tokyo; Executive Director: Yasuyasu Fukuda) announces that for the 50th PTNA Piano Competition to be held in fiscal year 2026, Otafuku Holdings Co., Ltd. (hereinafter "Otafuku Group"), centered on Otafuku Sauce Co., Ltd., will provide commemorative gifts of their company products to targeted participants in specific regions as a form of material sponsorship.
This initiative is intended to cheer on participants advancing to the regional finals or national competition in regions with ties to the Otafuku Group—Hiroshima, Tochigi, and Nagasaki—by delivering commemorative gifts of company products. As the PTNA Piano Competition reaches its 50th milestone, we aim to support the challenges undertaken by children and people of all generations in the community through "food" and "music."
Background of the Initiative
PTNA has contributed to building a rich society created by music and fostering young musicians through the organization of the PTNA Piano Competition, one of the largest in Japan, and the training of piano teachers. This year marks the 50th competition, a celebratory milestone in a half-century of history.
With the keyword "co-creating the future of food," the Otafuku Group promotes not only the spread of food culture such as okonomiyaki, but also sustainable social contribution activities (Otafuku activities) rooted in the local community, such as environmental conservation and regional support.
PTNA and the Otafuku Group have previously conducted campaigns to support the PTNA Special Class, and this time, in conjunction with the 50th-anniversary competition, we have decided to advance a new partnership to support local participants. At competition venues held in areas related to the Otafuku Group's major bases and factories (Hiroshima, Tochigi, and Nagasaki), we will present their company products as commemorative gifts to future pianists to cheer them on.
Overview of Material Sponsorship
The Otafuku Group plans to provide company products as commemorative gifts to eligible participants advancing to the regional finals or national competition at competition venues in the target regions. Details of implementation will be adjusted according to the operational conditions of each venue.
