Ebina City 55th Anniversary: 2026 Autumn Grand Sumo Tour Ebina Tournament

"Grand Sumo Ebina Tournament" will be held on October 7, 2026, at the Ebina Sports Park General Gymnasium. This regional tour allows fans to interact closely with sumo wrestlers, offering various events for everyone from beginners to avid fans. In addition to regular matches, attendees can watch special performances not seen in the main tournaments, such as the "hair-knotting demonstration" of popular wrestlers. There will also be comical "Shokkiri" performances demonstrating forbidden moves. The tour offers unique opportunities, including handshake events and photo sessions with popular wrestlers. The event starts at 9:00 AM with public practice, followed by lower-division matches and traditional performances at 11:30 AM. Top-division matches begin at 1:00 PM, concluding around 2:30 PM. Tickets, including souvenirs and special bento boxes, will be available for advance sale on June 13-14, 2026, and general sale starting June 20. Please note that shoes are prohibited inside the venue, and slippers are required.
