Soulflex Announces 16th Anniversary Live 'Changing Same' in Tokyo and Osaka!

The artist collective Soulflex, consisting of 11 creators including musicians, photographers, and painters, has announced its self-produced live event 'Changing Same' to be held in Tokyo and Osaka in the autumn of 2026. This performance marks a special milestone for Soulflex. The Osaka show is their first solo concert in the city in about seven years and the group's first self-produced event in two years. The Tokyo show is not only their first self-produced event in four years but also their first-ever solo concert in Tokyo. Since their formation in 2010, Soulflex has pursued unique expressions across genres and fields. As a collective encompassing music, video, photography, and artwork, they have gained support from cultural scenes both domestically and internationally. Last year, marking their 15th anniversary, the members focused on individual activities, choosing a 'recharging period' as a group. However, in 2026, the momentum for a restart emerged naturally, leading to the holding of 'Changing Same'. The title 'Changing Same' reflects the philosophy that 'forms change, but the essence remains the same,' a concept used in African American music contexts like Blues, R&B, and Hip Hop. It was chosen as a theme reflecting Soulflex's stance after years of activity and their current sense of the era. Additionally, on Wednesday, June 24, a one-night-only DJ party 'Soulflex Night' will be held at the music bar Bounce in Shibuya, featuring Mori Zentaro, KenT, SIRUP, ZIN, and guest Sam is Ohm. Expectations are high for the unique live performance born from the unity cultivated over years of activity and the sensibilities polished in each member's respective fields.
