NAVITIME Japan Launches 'Japan Travel COMMUNITY' on 'Japan Travel by NAVITIME' App

NAVITIME Japan Co., Ltd. announced that starting June 2, 2026, it will launch 'Japan Travel COMMUNITY,' a bulletin board for users to communicate, within its navigation app for international tourists, 'Japan Travel by NAVITIME.' 'Japan Travel COMMUNITY' is a multilingual bulletin board for exchanging information about traveling in Japan. It supports travelers planning their trips by allowing them to consult on travel plans, gather information, and share experiences after returning home. In addition to basic features like posting, viewing, liking, and selecting best answers, it allows users to link travel plans and spot information to their posts. By sharing location information and travel times based on NAVITIME's route search and spot data, it prevents misunderstandings and enables high-precision communication. When posting a travel plan, users can utilize 'AI Answer,' where AI evaluates the itinerary and suggests improvements. For example, if a traveler unfamiliar with the area posts an unrealistic plan for a 7-day trip, the AI will suggest a realistic alternative based on distance and travel time. Users can refer to both data-driven AI answers and real voices from other users for their travel planning. Since it also supports Japanese, it is expected to develop into a community space where not only tourists but also local residents can share recommendations, fostering interaction between travelers and locals. Previously, 'Japan Travel by NAVITIME' offered travel plan creation and posting features, but users had to use external social media to ask questions or seek advice from other travelers. With this update, user-to-user consultation can now be supported entirely within 'Japan Travel by NAVITIME.' This feature is available on both the Web and app versions of 'Japan Travel by NAVITIME' by registering for a free account. Supported languages are English, Chinese (Traditional/Simplified), Korean, Thai, and Japanese. Moving forward, the company aims to improve AI accuracy and expand automatic translation functions to grow into a platform that travelers worldwide will use as their first point of contact for Japan travel. Furthermore, by utilizing information gathered through this feature, the company hopes to discover and promote regional attractions, connecting travelers interested in specific areas with local governments and businesses, thereby contributing to regional revitalization through inbound tourism and solving issues like overtourism.
