Exhibiting at the 12th Heat Stroke Countermeasures Exhibition

Sharp Corporation will exhibit at the "12th Heat Stroke Countermeasures Exhibition" held from Wednesday, July 15 to Friday, July 17 this year at Tokyo Big Sight (Koto Ward, Tokyo).

At the exhibition, Sharp will showcase heat countermeasures products such as the "Ice Slurry Refrigerator" and "+12°C Temperature-Controlled Cooling Material for Palm Cooling," as well as wearable coolers and other items on a reference basis.

Main Exhibition Contents

1. Ice Slurry Refrigerator

This refrigerator easily generates ice slurry by applying impact, such as shaking, to beverage PET bottles chilled inside. A rental service for corporations began in May 2025, and it is increasingly being introduced at construction and civil engineering sites. Additionally, a newly developed original beverage exclusively for the "Ice Slurry Refrigerator" will be exhibited on a reference basis. At the booth, attendees can sample ice slurry generated from commercially available PET bottle beverages.

2. +12°C Temperature-Controlled Cooling Material for Palm Cooling

This is a cooling material that fits in the palm of the hand. By holding this cooling material before activities in hot environments, users can cool down their palms. It maintains a higher temperature (+12°C) than general ice packs (※1), making it less likely to cause pain from coldness even when held continuously (※2). At the booth, visitors can experience the difference in sensation when holding it compared to general ice packs.

3. Other Heat Countermeasures Items (Reference Exhibition)

Items on reference display include a wearable cooler that circulates water cooled by cooling materials or a compressor to cool the back and sides, as well as a cooler chair that cools the body by sitting on it during breaks.

※1 It can be reused and freezes when cooled for over 2 hours in a freezer (below -18°C), over 1 hour in ice water, or over 9 hours in a refrigerator (below 5°C). Times are approximate.

※2 Sensitivity to cold varies by individual.
