Timee Concludes Comprehensive Partnership Agreement with Tsushima City, Nagasaki Prefecture

Timee Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Ryo Ogawa), which provides the gig work service "Timee," has concluded a comprehensive partnership agreement with Tsushima City, Nagasaki Prefecture (Mayor: Naoki Hidaka). This marks the third such agreement with a municipality within the prefecture.

Tsushima City, Nagasaki Prefecture, is a border island located between Kyushu and South Korea, blessed with magnificent and untouched nature, such as the beautiful rias coast of Asou Bay with its complex inlets, and deep forests covering approximately 89% of the island's land. It is known as a treasure trove of abundant seafood and mountain delicacies, including "Tsushima conger eel" and "log-grown shiitake mushrooms."

On the other hand, the nationwide issues of a declining birthrate, an aging population, and a decrease in the working-age population are becoming more severe in Tsushima City, an isolated island, casting a serious shadow over the city's proud core industries such as fisheries, agriculture, forestry, and tourism. In particular, the explosive labor shortages during fishing and farming seasons, and the need to respond to sudden labor demands during the tourist season, are urgent issues for the sustainable development of the regional economy and the inheritance of traditions.

Therefore, this comprehensive partnership agreement with Tsushima City was concluded with the aim of creating employment utilizing "Timee" and revitalizing the region by securing diverse workers.

Through this partnership agreement, we will expand the use of spot work to businesses within the city to resolve labor shortages, and promote diverse work styles in the region by enabling various individuals, including child-rearing generations and seniors, to work during their spare time. Under our mission of "creating an infrastructure that expands life's possibilities through 'work'," we will strive to solve the regional issues of Tsushima City.
