Background

In recent years, digital transformation (DX) in the golf course industry has accelerated, with changes such as an increase in online reservation ratios, sophistication of online customer acquisition, and the growing importance of digital experiences that consistently support from pre-reservation to post-visit.

As a result, core systems are increasingly required to have advanced integration with reservation platforms, complex real-time data processing, and reliability to support stable on-site operations.

Under these circumstances, GDO decided that rather than continuing the core system business independently, leveraging the development capabilities, operational expertise, and field knowledge of TSH, which has over 300 implementation cases, is optimal for both golf courses and golfers, leading to the decision to transfer this business.

Roles of Both Companies and Future Direction

Area of Focus for GDO

Going forward, GDO will focus on improving customer experience in the web domain both outside and inside golf courses, advancing user experience design.

Through a series of online touchpoints before, during, and after visits, GDO aims to enhance value in the following ways, driving the evolution of web services that support the overall golf experience:

- Sophistication of digital experiences before visits, such as golfer search, reservations, and information acquisition - Improved convenience during play through digital support and data utilization during rounds - Strengthening online touchpoints that foster community formation and promote repeat visits after visits

Area of Focus for TSH

TSH will leverage its track record of providing core systems for golf courses and knowledge cultivated through on-site operations to improve the quality of golf course operations and on-site golfer experiences.

Through the following initiatives, TSH will promote value enhancement for golf course facilities from an on-site operations perspective:

- Efficiency of golf course operations (including cloud adoption) - Improvement of customer service quality by on-site staff - Refinement of the playing experience within golf courses

Value Creation through Collaboration (Vision)

By seamlessly connecting 'digital experiences outside the golf course' with 'on-site experiences inside the golf course,' we will provide a consistent customer experience from pre-visit to post-visit. Through collaboration leveraging the strengths of both companies, we will contribute to improving golf course customer attraction, operational efficiency, and continuous enhancement of customer satisfaction.

Future Initiatives

Going forward, we will steadily promote initiatives in each area while gradually strengthening collaboration and verification. We will evolve the overall service through continuous improvement and optimization, not limited to individual functions or measures.
