Gakujo Co., Ltd. conducted an online survey targeting HR personnel and career-changing professionals in their 20s regarding recent hiring trends.
Acceleration of the Recruitment Process Regarding the duration from application to job offer, 'within one month' was the most common response at 32.4%. However, when combining 'within two weeks' (21.1%), 'within three weeks' (20.7%), and 'within one week' (9.1%), approximately 50.9% of companies are making decisions within three weeks. This trend highlights an intense 'speed battle' to secure top talent ahead of competitors.
Mismatch Between Corporate Efforts and Candidate Needs The top measure taken by companies to improve offer acceptance rates is 'flexibility in joining dates' (62.5%), which aligns with the top need of 20s job seekers (60.9%).
However, a clear disparity emerged regarding the second-highest priority. 43.5% of job seekers indicated that 'flexible negotiation of conditions' would make them more likely to accept an offer, yet only 23.6% of companies are actively addressing this. This suggests that companies could significantly improve their success rates by being more open to negotiating terms such as compensation and work arrangements.
