School Corporation CoIU (Hida City, Gifu Prefecture, Chairman: Hironari Inoue, hereinafter CoIU), which operates Co-Innovation University (hereinafter CoIU) scheduled to open in April 2026, announces that, with the opening approaching, it has partnered with the newly established General Incorporated Association Co-Innovation Ecosystem (Hida City, Gifu Prefecture, Co-Representative Directors: Hiroaki Miyata, Hironari Inoue, hereinafter CoIE) and has transitioned to a new system to further promote co-creation initiatives across education, regions, and industries.

This initiative aims to build a "Co-Innovation Ecosystem" that uses the university as its core, but extends beyond its boundaries to connect with society in various ways, continuously generating new value.

◯ Co-Innovation University to Open in April 2026

Co-Innovation University (CoIU), opening in Hida City, Gifu Prefecture, is a four-year university founded on the spirit of "questioning civilization together and co-creating the future." It aims to foster individuals who challenge value creation connected to society, moving back and forth between theory, dialogue, and practice.

Since the start of establishment discussions in 2020, the concept has been progressively materialized with the region and various partners, including the conclusion of an agreement with Hida City, demonstration of bonding ship, determination of the university name, application and approval by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, and development of the downtown campus.

CoIU's learning unfolds from its campus spread across the downtown area of Hida City, Gifu Prefecture. In an environment open to the community, students deepen their learning through practical engagement, connecting with society as an extension of their daily lives, moving back and forth between theory and practice.
