The Taiwan stock market surged by 1,360 points today, the 8th largest intraday gain in history, with the index hitting a record high of 43,628.73. As Unimicron broke the NT$1,000 mark, the number of "thousand-dollar stocks" in Taiwan reached 51. Major stocks like TSMC, UMC, and MediaTek saw significant gains, with total market turnover reaching approximately NT$889.3 billion.
