DPP Hsinchu City Chapter Chairperson Re-elected, Shih Nai-ju Pledges Full Support for Elections

The Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) held elections for local chapter chairpersons and party representatives today. Incumbent City Councilor Shih Nai-ju was re-elected as the Hsinchu City Chapter Chairperson. Shih stated that she would fully support the year-end mayoral and city council elections, aiming for a clean sweep. The DPP Hsinchu City Chapter stated in a press release that the election was uncontested, with Shih Nai-ju being the only candidate. Shih completed her vote this afternoon, accompanied by the party caucus convener Chen Chien-ming and Councilor Liu Kang-yen. In the press release, Shih expressed her gratitude for the support of party seniors and members, promising to demonstrate action, listen carefully to voices from all sectors, and ensure the DPP remains close to society. She vowed to do her utmost to support the year-end mayoral and city council elections, aiming for victory for all candidates. Shih emphasized that at a time when China continues to suppress Taiwan's international participation and conduct military intimidation, upholding the 'value of Taiwan's subjectivity' is an unshakable belief for political workers of different generations. She expressed hope that more young people would be encouraged to participate in public affairs. A total of 24 people registered for the DPP Hsinchu City party representative election. Shih welcomed the participation of the younger generation, stating she would work to unite all supporters and expand the DPP's social support base in Hsinchu City.
