According to the New York Post, a terrorist trained by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) attempted to assassinate Ivanka Trump as part of a plot to avenge the death of Iranian General Qasem Soleimani. Sources state that 32-year-old Mohammad Baqer Saad Dawood Al-Saadi, who was recently arrested, had vowed to kill Ivanka and possessed blueprints of her Florida residence. The Iraqi national targeted the Trump family to retaliate for the 2018 US drone strike in Baghdad that killed Soleimani. Entifadh Qanbar, a former deputy military attaché at the Iraqi Embassy in Washington, told the Post that the suspect frequently stated, 'We must kill Ivanka and burn Trump's house, just as he burned ours.' The suspect also posted a map on X showing the couple's $24 million mansion, accompanied by a chilling threat in Arabic stating that their palace and the Secret Service could not protect them. Al-Saadi, allegedly a high-ranking operative for Kata'ib Hezbollah and the IRGC, was arrested in Turkey on May 15 and extradited to the US. He faces charges related to 18 attacks or attempted attacks across Europe and the US. At the time of his arrest, he was reportedly carrying an Iraqi official passport, which allowed him to travel with minimal security checks.
