Namoh Iyang's Pinch-Hit Homer Leads Wei Chuan Dragons to 6th Straight Win

In the CPBL, the Wei Chuan Dragons defeated the CTBC Brothers 7-2 today, thanks to a pinch-hit two-run home run by Namoh Iyang in the top of the 9th inning, securing their first 6-game winning streak of the season. Dragons manager Yeh Chun-chang revealed that Namoh Iyang had been in good form since the start of the season, but there were strategic reasons for delaying his promotion to the first team. The game, hosted by the Brothers at the Taipei Dome, drew 23,421 spectators, the third-highest attendance for a regular-season game this year. After the Brothers took the lead in the 3rd, the Dragons tied it in the 4th. The Brothers regained the lead in the 8th, but Namoh Iyang's clutch homer in the 9th turned the tide, followed by a rally that sealed the victory. Manager Yeh explained that because Namoh Iyang is prone to overthinking, he wanted him to be fully prepared in the minor leagues before bringing him up to the majors.
