Serbian President Vucic to Visit China from 24th, Will Meet with Xi Jinping

The Chinese government has announced that Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic will visit China for five days starting from the 24th and will meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Qiang. According to a notice on the Chinese Foreign Ministry's website on the 20th, ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun announced at a regular press conference that afternoon that, at the invitation of Xi Jinping, Vucic will pay a state visit to China from the 24th to the 28th. Guo stated that Serbia is the first European country to jointly build a new era community with a shared future with China and is an important partner for China in the Southeast Europe region. Under the strategic guidance of the two countries' leaders, China-Serbia relations have been operating at a high level in recent years. The two sides firmly support each other's core interests and major concerns, with solid political mutual trust, fruitful cooperation, close multilateral coordination, and frequent personnel exchanges. Guo said, "President Vucic maintains close contact with President Xi Jinping, and this is President Vucic's first state visit to China." Guo mentioned that during the visit, Xi Jinping and Li Qiang will meet with Vucic separately to exchange views on bilateral relations and international and regional issues of common concern. Guo also stated that China is willing to work with Serbia to use this visit as an opportunity to "forge an ironclad friendship, expand mutually beneficial cooperation, enrich cultural and people-to-people exchanges, enhance multilateral coordination, and promote the construction of the China-Serbia community with a shared future in the new era to achieve more practical results and benefit the people of both countries."
