Junior High School Comprehensive Assessment Program Enters Day 2; Question Papers and Reference Answers to be Released in the Afternoon

(CNA, Taipei, 17th) The Junior High School Comprehensive Assessment Program (CAP) entered its second day today, with exams in Science, English Reading, and English Listening. The Ministry of Education is expected to release the question papers and reference answers this afternoon, with scores available for query starting June 5th. Approximately 182,000 students registered for the CAP. On the first day yesterday (16th), the Ministry of Education reported the highest absentee rate was 1.21%, similar to previous years. The most common violation was 'starting early or finishing late,' followed by 'carrying non-testing items.' According to the CAP schedule, after today's exams conclude, the question papers and reference answers are expected to be released at 2 PM. Those with questions about the test items can apply for a review before noon on May 21st, with the results of the review to be announced on the 22nd. The table of correct answers to grade conversion is scheduled for release on June 2nd, and online score queries and the mailing of score reports will begin on June 5th. Applications for score reviews will be open from June 7th to 8th. The CAP score is one of the criteria for 'admission by placement' into high schools and vocational schools across the 15 school districts nationwide. The calculation method varies by district. For example, the Keelung-Taipei-New Taipei district, which has the largest number of students, uses a 108-point system, with the CAP score, multidisciplinary learning performance, and choice preference each accounting for 36 points.
