Cats Cause Odor Issues in High-End Taipei Apartment; City Officials to Investigate

An expatriate tenant in a luxury apartment building in Taipei's Xinyi District is complaining about strong odors and allergens coming from an adjacent unit that reportedly houses dozens of cats with no full-time human resident. After multiple failed attempts to resolve the issue with the neighbor and property management, the tenant contacted the Taipei City Government. The Animal Protection Office is scheduled to inspect the unit and will take action if improper care is found.
